Applying Items from PO to Invoice

I'm very new to Peachtree but have seemed to figure it out very easily with a couple of exceptions.

Why is it that I cannot apply items I've purchased on a PO to an invoice? I'm able to do it when I enter each item purchased in as an expense ticket but I cannot do it directly from a PO. Am I missing something?
