Can'tl open Peachtree Complete 2006

I'm using Windows XP, Complete Accounting 2006. Today when I tried to open it I get a message box saying "You must use Peachtree Premium Accounting when using Terminal Services. Click the Learn More button for more information on upgrading your current version of Peachtree Accounting". - with 2 options: OK & Learn More. So first I click OK, since I don't really want to upgrade. This just stops opening Peachtree. So next I select "Learn More". Sends me to a website asking me if I'm using Windows Vista (I say no), and which version of Peachtree I'm using - I select PTC2006. That's it, there's no place to enter, say ok, nothing. Just a dead fill in screen. - I then attempted to open Peachtree through a different user on my network. This worked fine. But, I am the administrator on the account. I was working on Peachtree last night and woke up to this. Any help would be appreciated - tx

The Terminal Services thing is odd -- that should only show up if (a) you really ARE on TS, or (b) you're running Vista on at least one computer on your network (Vista is always in TS mode by default).

However, you may want to consider uninstalling .NET Framework (v 2 and earlier, including the Hotfixes), then reinstalling them from scratch using the Redistributable versions. .NET 2 is on the PT installer CD. A recent Windows update has been playing havoc with many QB and PT installations. After that, try running the Repair on PT form the install disc.

If none of that works, call us or PT for tech support, as the level of detail required to troubleshoot something like that is definitely beyond the scope of a free message board.

Thanx for the advice. Apparently it was just some bug. I did nothing, but it hasn't happened again. Not sure why or what, but I appreciate your help. tx
