Peachtree Complete Accounting 2007

When I try to install SR4 on a new vista workstation, I get the error:

You are attempting to update Peachtree Accounting on a drive that does not support long file names.

It reads the path where peachtree is installed and says that it is c:\program files\sage software\peachtree, so the os obviously is using long file names - why am I getting this error and what may be done to correct it?

Any computer capable of running Vista should have drives which are all either FAT32 or NTFS -- in other words, with LFN support. Unless you're dual-booting with a non-Windows OS or a really, really old Windows version, this should not be an issue.

As for the error itself, It's a Vista thing. User Access Control rears its ugly head again

Disable UAC, reboot, install the update, then re-enable UAC. You will need Administrator access to the computer while doing so. You should be good to go after that.
