Allday Consulting's Peachtree and QuickBooks Support Boards

I have discovered that perhaps our payroll has been set up wrong ... We have several employees that are in the 25% tax range. Peachtree is not calculating enough federal taxes and some employees have huge tax bills. How do I verify the formulas being used and how to I make sure enough taxes are being deducted? Thanks!

Go to File > Peachtree-Maintained Tax Tables or File > User-Maintained Tax Tables and look up the taxes by the Codes used in the Payroll module to see how they're calculating. You mentioned in another post that one of your systems did not have up-to-date tax info-- that could be part of the problem; PT will not recalculate the old paychecks for you, it will only have correct numbers going forward.

Please note that you need to install the tax updates on ALL PeachTree systems regularly. As long as the Tax Service is registered on each, it will be one of the things that shows up any time you choose to Update Peachtree (in the Services menu, which only appears when you actually have a Company File open)
