You can back up your old company data via File > Backup. In most versions, you can also use Archive Company (from the same menu). Archive will let you make a read-only (non-changeable) backup copy. You can restore a backup at any time via File > Restore. This will NOT erase your old data. you can have as many company files as you like on your computer, but you can only access one at a time on any given computer.
As for starting fresh, just use File > New Company and follow the wizard. None of your old data will be carried over. If you want to get some of the old data imported, give us a call. We would need: backups of both the old and new files, the transaction Journals you want transferred (and dates to cover), and notes regarding which accounts have changed -- if any accounts are used in the old file but NOT in the new ones (or if their account numbers have changed), we would need to know that, so we can make changes during the import process.
Please give us a call at the number below at your convenience, and we can get you set up and quote you a price for the service.
