Trouble exporting to Excel

We use Peachtree 2003 and Excel 2003 on a Windows 2000 workstation. When we choose a report, for example, General Ledger, the Excel button is not available or "hot." Is this a compatability issue or are we missing something? Thank you.

Well, the short version is "PT 2003 only works with Excel 1999~2002". Here's what I was able to find:

The first one contains a workaround. The latter contains a registry hack which MAY solve the problem -- try that at your own risk.
