Allday Consulting's Peachtree and QuickBooks Support Boards

My USB backup of QB Pro 2007 crashed, and all I'm left with is a backup on my harddrive from early January 2008. I bought a new pc mid-December and switched over, but had problems because (according to Intuit tech) Vista and QB seem to be "clashing" and my QB had been self-aborting if I left it on for more than a few minutes without entering or using it. Well, the Intuit tech did a repair, but I'm still having problems with the backup situation. I have so many backups and I'm confused about which one to use. I think I need a QB Pro Advisor, but can't be sure. I know I need to get rid of backups I don't need, but... it's a very confusing situation. Has anyone had such a thing happen to them? What is your suggestion(s)? I need to get on with this FAST. Time is money, and I'm in a real pinch (with both). Thanks. Heaven help me.

It's best not to delete a backup unless you know it's a duplicate of another backup, or otherwise useless/unusable/etc. Also, are you backing up directly to the USB stick, or making a QBB (backup) on the hard drive and copying that to the USB? The latter is the best method, as QB doesn't really play nicely with USB storage devices of any stripe very well.
