Hi,
I have deleted an invoice because I created it in March and it should have been created in April. (I think I deleted it and didn't void it but there is a postive and then a negative with a "V" after the invoice number.

It is showing up as a cash receipt so cash receipts are over by the amount of the invoice.

Can I just delete the cash receipt?

It makes a difference if you deleted it or voided it. If you deleted it, it shouldn't show up at all. If you voided it, you may have to go into the Cash Receipts and do an "Offset" entry (by clicking the positive and negative invoice amount) with the "receipt amount" showing up as 0.00. What I generally do in your situation is issue a credit (or negative invoice) and then go to the cash receipts and follow above Offset procedure. This way the amount received is still 0.00. If you want to go back and delete the original invoice, you'll need to delete the receipt portion first. You can then go back and delete the actual invoice. Hope this helps. =]
