Unit price Digit Limitation

Postby DFSMail on Thu Mar 12, 2009 1:40 pm

I am having an issue while keying in a unit price in Sales/Invoicing for Peachtree Complete Accounting 2004. I am unable to key in more than 8 digits (this can also include keying in commas and decimals). What I am trying to do is key in quantity 1, unit price 123,456.7891 but it will not let me key in more than 8 places. Help! Please!

This is an inherent limitation of the database structure itself.

PT 2009 can handle up to 5 decimal places per field, and, apparently, up to 15 characters total; I just tried it myself.

NOTE: you should NOT need to key in commas in number fields, unless this was a more recent change, as well-- the database has changed at least once, possibly twice, since the 2004 edition came out.
