I am using QB Pro 2008.

I am so frustrated...hopefully someone can help. I did not set up this particular QB file, so it's hard to figure out why this is happening.

Deposits are recorded, with the customer name being entered directly into the deposits. Full information is entered for each customer when they are new. When I pull up any reports or go to the customer center, all those customers are there, but no financial transactions are listed. I don't know how to pull a report on a customer's donations, even though I can clearly see that the donations are recorded. What am I doing wrong?

- Make sure that the drop-downs above the Transaction list say "Show - All Transactions", "Filter By - All" and "Date - All"

- You can also try right-clicking the customer/donor's name in the list and choose QuickReport, then set the dates covered to "All". You might need to generate a Custom Transaction report for this purpose, if the QR doesn't show everything.

- Are the monies you take in being recorded as Payments? The customer/donor name should be listed on there in order for them to "get credit for" the donations

Yes, unfortunately, I have made sure it is "all transactions", I have done a full search by name, and I have tried the quick report. It's like the data isn't there. But then I look at the deposit, and there it is...and it's associated with the customer right there. I'm so stumped!

The problem is, the name of the customer is entered directly into the deposit, and this company has never entered them in the customer receipts or payment section. (I didn't set it up!) But when you enter the name in the deposit, it comes up with the setup window where you can enter full customer details, so you would think it would be connected or at least come up in a search! I thought QB was smarter than this. I am so baffled...
