I am using QB Pro 2008. Up until about 4 weeks ago, I was successfully able to download and import my checking account transactions from my bank (PNC) without any problem. Since 4 weeks, I have been able to download the data, but upon attempting to Import the *.QBO files, QB puts up an error message that says (in one place) that I need to check with my financial institution, and (in a second place) "if this error recurrs, contact QuickBooks Technical Support." So, even QuickBooks, itself, resorts to "finger-pointing". That is not helpful at all.
The really weird thing is I can download my money market account info (same bank) with no problem.
I called the bank to advise them of this, and they were aware of this issue, having received complaints from other customers as well. I was told "just keep trying the download and import until it works." That's not going to cut it for very long. It still doesn't work.
Has anyone else gotten such error messages? Is there a known reason why this error occurs? Whose side of the fence is it on? Please help.
