Allday Consulting's Peachtree and QuickBooks Support Boards

I used an old copy of Quickbooks to bring my Masonic lodge in to the modern world.. then the mother board of the old computer went south way south and never came back.. transfered the Hard drive contents to a replacement and now need to find the key code so I can reinstall the program and access the data previously entered. Is that recoverable in the program files somewhere? Version 6.0 was running under Win ME but now resides on Win XP home

Would the current version of Quicken A. import that data? B. be more suitable for the Lodge: no inventory, or sales, Investments dues, donations contributions and building expenses, minor salary but no time accounting.

If you registered the program, you can call Intuit (http://www.quickbooks.com) and they should be able to look up your codes for you.

Quicken can export TO QuickBooks natively, but not FROM. You can export list data (read: no transactions nor detail at all) from QB into an "IIF file" (basically a CSV, it can be opened and edited in Excel). Quicken may be able to read those.
