Confused as to were to start

I recently purchased Peachtree and one of the things that I need to do to set up is enter "employees". I 1099 my people, they are subcontractors. I need to track inventory that they use for my clients and cannot figure out how to do this. Can someone help?

1099's are Vendors, not really employees.

As for the other part, that might be a better question for your CPA.
